3 Intrastation swap request

For changing who is on a station on one day — inside one centre. It never crosses the department, and a senior decides it.

Use change duty (chapter 2) when…

a whole duty day is moving — you are giving up your day and taking somebody else's, or asking to be let off it. Decided by the administrator.

Use intrastation (this one) when…

the day stands but the station changes — two of you trade what you are on, somebody is added, or somebody comes off. Decided by a senior.

Open it from the menu: Intrastation swap requestNew request (station shift).

Filling the form

  1. Station. Choose it first — it says what the request is about, and the two name pickers below stay empty until you have. The list is grouped by centre and shows how many people are on each station.
  2. Request type. Swap — two people trade what they hold that day. Add — put somebody onto this station for that day. Cancel — take somebody off it. The line under the buttons says the same thing as you choose.
  3. Duty date. Asked once, and both sides share it - an intrastation swap is always on a single day.
  4. Who is asking. The picker offers everyone in that centre, grouped by the station each of them is on — not only the people already on the station you chose. Somebody from another station in the same centre can perfectly well take a day on this one.
  5. Who they swap with. Swap only; Add and Cancel hide it. Whoever you pick on one side disappears from the other, so nobody can be put down as swapping with themselves.
  6. Note (optional), then Submit request.
Station first, then the type, one date, and two names from that centre. The names shown here are examples.

A station with only one person on it is not offered — there is nobody to swap with. If the station you want is missing from the list, that is usually why.

After you submit

You land on Check request (station shift), where the request is listed against its station with the same status tabs as the other list. It works the same way, with one addition: a row of station chips above the search box, each carrying its own count, so you can narrow the list to one station. Search by name or station, and the bin takes back a request nobody has decided yet.

Check request (station shift) — the same list, one station at a time.

The two lists are separate. A request raised on one does not appear on the other, so if you cannot find yours, check you are looking at the right kind — the tabs at the top of the page only ever show the pair you are already in.
